Background

QVC is a retail company that started about 35 years ago, selling solely on TV info commercials. They dove into the web about 10-15 years ago. While they still rely heavily on the on-air platform, digital is picking up pretty rapidly.

The Challenge

The backend of the website has not been updated for at least six years, so designing and making the impact they are looking for can be a bit of a challenge when it comes to building within the old modules.

My Role

While I have completed many projects at QVC, this is one of my favs. Before starting this project, I am given a deck with a lockup, patterns, and textures to use how I see fit. QVC has so many things happening that for a project like this, I am only given a few hours, max. I was told they wanted to create a bold impact at the top of the page. The focus was on the Free Shipping event, but the easy pay promotion needed to be up there as the secondary message.

Solution:

Impactful design on mobile and desktop, within the restraints of the outdated modules.

Establish a hierarchy of promos to create a nice flow for the customer to shop.
